Photographers / Models Networking Events
Starting Wednesday June 16th, we are going to to host Networking Workshops for local models and photographers at our partner studio in Boca Raton on a regular basis. Below you will find some of the specifics about the events...
The Concept
Our concept is simple, gather a few photographers and a few models, to meet and setup short photoshoots. Everyone coming to the event should be aware of the following:
- All work is done on TFCD basis (you will get a CD within the 10 days following the shoot)
- All will have to sign a photo release, so that everything is done properly
- All photographers need to bring their own equipment: cameras, reflectors, props, etc... (we will provide some of the lighting)
- All models need to have valid picture ID. No one under 18 allowed at the event
- There is no cost for models
- Photographers need to participate in the studio rental and cleanup cost ($35/photographer)
- Water and sodas will be provided, we're working on a budget for crackers :) There will be no alcohol available, this is a networking event. Do not bring your own.
Photographers
You are expected to come with a positive and professional attitude. If we don't already know you and you are not referred by a model or fellow photographer, you could be denied participation in the event, or asked to leave during the event if we believe you are not upholding the standards of this event.
Point and shoot cameras are great for vacations, but only photographers armed with professional photography tools will be allowed entry.
Bring props if you have a concept in mind.
Models
You are expected to come prepared to shoot, however, this does not mean that you have to shoot. You can just come and network with other models and photographers, and forge an opinion on the event for next time. If you don't feel like doing a shoot, don't. But we are sure that you won't resist shooting a few frames with the really nice photographers who will attend the event.
We are working on getting a makeup artist for the event, but in case we do not succeed, have your makeup ready before the shoot and a small kit with you to make touch-ups.
Bring as many accessories as you wish. There is no specific theme or concept. We have white backgrounds, black backgrounds, a couple of chairs and other accessories. If your concept is to shoot with you sitting on your bicycle holding an umbrella, you will find a photographer to shoot it, just bring the bicycle and the umbrella :)
What we expect
We expect everyone to have fun. Beyond that, we don't know how many photographers will respond. We are expecting a minimum of 4 photographers. At this time, we are looking to have at least 5 and 8 models (possibly more) present for the shoot.
Why you should come
This will be a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, exchange ideas and experiences. Models will have a chance to learn from other models how they get their gigs, and photographers will be able to exchange equipment and technique tips.
